I am an interdisciplinary design researcher with over 9 years of experience in a variety of design areas. Working in multidisciplinary areas of design has given me a unique perspective to view everything as a system of interconnected components.
I am an advocate of human-centered principles and I love to delve into the psychology behind the user behavior. I apply human-centered, design-thinking and critical reasoning principles to investigate the underlying problems in any given area. Throughout my career, I have designed experiences, services, and both physical and digital products for a number of creative agencies, design studios, startups, manufacturing industries, and nonprofits in various areas.

Upon completing my BA in Industrial Design in 2012, from the University of Tehran, I spent about 4 years of professional design practice in various disciplines as mentioned above. Following my deep passion regarding design research and service design, I attended the 2-year research-oriented Master of Interdisciplinary Design (MDes) program at Emily Carr University from 2016 to 2018. During this invaluable experience, I strived to hone my knowledge and skills in the user research aspect of a design project.
Being a designer is not just my profession, it is indeed my true vocation. I am a perceptive person who cares a lot about details! I’m dedicated to applying the design-thinking methodology to all of the aspects of my daily life! It’s a constant process of critical and creative thinking.
I believe in the power of designing to create a more humane, just, and sustainable world! As a designer, I can leverage design by recombining and reframing the existing resources and facilitating the use of advanced technologies to build innovative values and cultures in the social, economic, and political sectors.
